We awoke to snow again this morning. It’s not uncommon this time of year to have another round of winter. Yet looking out the window, I felt less enthused than the last few snows. In defiance I have taken to wearing my cropped jeans that reveal just a bit of ankle, my subtle way of letting winter know she is no longer welcome here. It is a fashion choice that is equal parts rebellion and hope.
Amen. We are on spring break the next two weeks and I was looking forward to kids playing outside in the sunshine and the husband and I lazing about on the screened porch. Instead we've been cooped up and the kids only going out if they bundle up. Definitely a disappointment.
Amen. I especially need the reminder that this time has a purpose, of our roots going down deep. Otherwise the snow just feels like a nuisance. Hang in there. The sun is shining in Minnesota today, so that is something :)
