day one // liturgy of the little things (2023)
The boys have a work-from-home day today, and my first reaction was to get a little crusty about it. To look at my to-do list and begin to panic about all that will not get done. But then I glance over to find Sonic the Hedgehog at my workspace, eager to tell me that 9 + 4 = 13, and I soften. I smile. I loosen my grip on what I had planned and turn my palms upward, to make room for what will be.
