Hey there. I’m glad you found us.
Liturgy of the Little Things began as an Instagram challenge four or five years ago, and while I’m continuing that tradition because I love the community and beauty it produces, I’ve also grown a little weary in that space, so I wanted to create an alternative for those of us who want to participate in the thirty days of paying attention but don’t want the pressure of finding a great photo to go along with our words.
This is an experiment. We will see how it goes.
If you’re new to Liturgy of the Little Things, here’s what you can expect:
Every day in November, I will post a short reflection and prompt based on my own paying attention that day. All of these posts will be captured in the Little Things section of Human Together. My understanding is that the posts won’t land in your inbox unless you subscribe to this section separately (here are instructions on how to do that), but they are also here for you to check in as you can if you don’t want the daily emails. (But please tell me if something gets wonky or you’re getting emails and don’t want them…I’m still figuring this part out.)
Add your personal reflections as comments to the daily posts. Whether you right one word or one hundred, feel free to make a list or share your daily noticing with us.
Interact with other participants. Liturgy is not intended to be consumed alone, but is a way for us to seek God together. So in addition to adding your own reflections, I hope you will peek into the comments and get to know each other a bit. See where goodness is showing up in the lives of others.
That’s about it. Whether you join us for one day or all thirty, please know this is your space to notice, reflect, and share. And if you have any questions along the way, please let me know.
grace + peace,
Sarah
