We awoke to snow again this morning. It’s not uncommon this time of year to have another round of winter. Yet looking out the window, I felt less enthused than the last few snows. In defiance I have taken to wearing my cropped jeans that reveal just a bit of ankle, my subtle way of letting winter know she is no longer welcome here. It is a fashion choice that is equal parts rebellion and hope.
Maybe that’s where you are too.
Whether your winter has been literal or figurative or a complicated mixture of both, perhaps you too are ready for warm spring breezes to flow through open windows or grass to awaken and turn from its dormant brown to true green. You’re doing your best to remain content in what is, to surrender to the elements, but (good glory) you’re ready to move on from all this beige.
I don’t have brilliant tips other than to say winter always seems to last longer than we’d like but never forever. Spring will come in all her glory.
For today, as we sit in the restlessness, let me offer a short prayer:
Thanks for subscribing to Human Together! I’m always looking for ways to narrow the space between us in this online world, so if you’re new around here, I’d love for you to hit reply and say hello. You’re also welcome to leave a comment to keep the conversation going within the community.

Amen. We are on spring break the next two weeks and I was looking forward to kids playing outside in the sunshine and the husband and I lazing about on the screened porch. Instead we've been cooped up and the kids only going out if they bundle up. Definitely a disappointment.
Amen. Thank you for this prayer.
