I needed this today, Sarah. Thank you. Thanksgiving marks the start of a rough stretch for me too and it feels heavy this year. I will pray for peace and beautiful moments of joy for you in the midst of it all.
September and October are these months for me, as we lost one baby and identical twins in different years. Some years I’m cognizant of what’s going on, while others it takes weeks for me to recognize why I feel heavy and out of it. Thank you for sharing your heart, and heaviness.
Oh goodness. Yes. So many years I have wondered why my body felt so sluggish, until I looked at the calendar and the details came flooding back. We remember, even when we are unaware. I’m sorry you carry the pain of losing children as well. Not a club I would chose for me or anyone else.
"There is freedom in getting low."—wow, yes. Beautiful words and beautiful truths. Thank you for this, friend. I will be rereading this as needed this year.
Oh my goodness, Sarah. Thank you for sharing this with us. It's beautiful. Also..."Home" seems to be the thing this season. Thanks for pointing to that song, too.
thank you for your heartfelt thoughts. heaviness is part of the human condition, us longing for the Lord's return when He will wipe every tear. i especially loved the Henri Nouwen quote. I put it on my chalkboard wall.

Thank you so much, Sarah. Your words are a balm to this weary caregiver's soul.

I love the idea of having a chalkboard wall for quotes!
