Sarah, I am having trouble finding the sign up for Liturgy of the little things. Will it be available closer to November 1st? Thanks

Hey Laura. I agree it's not super intuitive. I hope an "opt in button" within a section is something I can suggest to Substack as a good addition in the future. But I can get you there. To subscribe specifically to the Little Things section, you have to adjust your subscription settings. Here is a link to those instructions: https://support.substack.com/hc/en-us/articles/8914938285204-How-do-I-subscribe-to-or-unsubscribe-from-a-section-on-Substack-

Laura, I had to log on from a computer to find the settings and subscribe, it wouldn't work from the app on my phone. Not sure if that's helpful.

Thank you for this tip! had refreshed the app thinking I had missed something. Why oh why should point of access make a difference? Not sure the app is adding anything. I'll just stick to access from the website for now.

I’m sorry it has not been user friendly for you! If you would like to email me, I would be happy to simply add you to the list to get the daily Little Things posts.

"A kingdom of yeast and mustard seeds" - oh, I love this so much! Yesterday was so hard, and I wrestled with God while out on a walk. This morning, again on a walk, I noticed how lovely the yellow-leaved maples were, nestled amongst some pines. Made me think of Sara Groves' song, "Hope has a way of turning its face to you just when you least expect it." Those lovely maples were definitely "little things," and I was/am so grateful for them. How wonderful to see the seemingly mundane as something holy - I want more of that. Looking forward to your posts for November!

I have not heard that song lyric before...that’s really lovely. I hope more hope finds us in the month ahead, in all its forms. 🍁

It really is a lovely song. And yes - more hope in all its forms.

Hooray! So glad to hear there will be a Substack version - was just looking at some of my (downloaded) IG posts from the last two years of this and they made me smile (they also made me realize that I just talk about the same 5 things over and over and over... not sure what to do with that information. Hopefully it's just spiral learning. Ha!)

Hooray for Liturgy of the Little Things season - so thankful for this every year, Sarah, and how it spurs me on the rest of the year to pay attention to all the small-but-actually-big things in life.

It's the little things that often make such a big difference. Your inspiring post reminded me of one of my favorite quotes.

"I found it is the small everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay… small acts of kindness and love.”

It's day three of this simple practice and I just wanted to thank you for how life-giving this has been. Thank you! I didn't realize there is a sign up for this. I saw it on Instagram. I'll see if I can figure out the sign up, but in the mean time - thank you, again. I'm enjoying the hashtag and reading and seeing the posts. They are all refreshing.

I'm really glad you're enjoying the practice so far! The Substack piece is new for me this time around, so I'm trying to figure out if it works here too since I've always done it on Instagram. We'll see! But feel free to participate in the way that makes sense for you. :)
