Good morning Sarah,

I appreciate your writing talent and encouragement. I am commenting because I want to call attention to the desire for “more” than what has been clearly written in Scripture.

While it’s lovely to journal your prayers or write a poem, please don’t rely upon what you write or what others write as “coming from God.”

God has given us His Word. It’s always been enough!!

If you or others are finding themselves “wanting more” or desiring to head towards a mystical state or do what is called “automatic writing” to “find more”—-repent and stop!

Instead, study the depths of scripture! There IS more than what you see at first glance. Study and understand the Hebrew and Greek key words and the Holy Spirit will give you eyes to see and understand at greater depths.

Prayer is just talking to God and Jesus gave us a model for prayer.

Remember, God talks to us through His Word and we talk to Him through prayer. Read the Psalms and observe how David talked to God and poured out his heart to God. Memorize scripture!

I hope this will encourage deeper bible study and a rich prayer life.🙏✝️💕

“ I was reminded that God is not bound to ritual, but rather, finds ways to speak a language our souls can hear.” — this was so good Sarah! I loved today’s newsletter.

In response to your reflection question, I’ve been discovering God in nature recently. Taking a solitary walk around my neighborhood either in silence or in prayer has been one of my new favorite ways to connect with God in this season. Finding Him in a sunrise or sunset is another intimate way I’ve been beholding Him lately 💛
