Hi Audrey. I agree that the richness of the Psalms and other Scripture invites us further into conversation with God. The Psalms are actually a lovely example of how poems can be prayers and is one of the reasons I feel freedom to follow suit in my own conversations with God. I'm certainly not in favor of diverting us away from the Bible, nor am I saying that my poems/words would be on par with Scripture (heavens, no...). I am simply encouraging us to pay attention to the ways in which God meets us in our prayers, in all their forms.

Love this. Poetry, especially dipped in faith and worship, touches me deeply. And thanks for sharing the connection to Grace Kelley

“ I was reminded that God is not bound to ritual, but rather, finds ways to speak a language our souls can hear.” — this was so good Sarah! I loved today’s newsletter.

In response to your reflection question, I’ve been discovering God in nature recently. Taking a solitary walk around my neighborhood either in silence or in prayer has been one of my new favorite ways to connect with God in this season. Finding Him in a sunrise or sunset is another intimate way I’ve been beholding Him lately 💛

I love that, Celia. (also I love your phrasing "beholding Him" :) )
